[REVIEW] Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser (rant)

Okay, I'm back. Sorry for the long delay of post (not that I have many followers..). I just really need to share this review.

Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser

It claims to remove dirt with its "Micro Cleanse Anti Bacterial formula", dry pimples in as early as 3 days, and lighten pimple marks.

Technically, this is a toner. Since I'm looking for a new toner because I ran out of my Celeteque one and I needed a new one ASAP, I decided to buy this one at the nearest grocery store near our house. I believe it costed around 30 pesos. Not that bad for the price, I thought. Until I tried it out...

I used this for 3 days straight. Applied every night; you know, the Cleanse-Tone-Moisturize basic regime.  But after a day of using it... I notice that I had a few bumps on my face (baby pimples..hahaha..). Not. Cute.

Here are the ingredients btw...:

Ingredients: Water, alcohol denat., citric acid, sodium citrate, salicylic acid, perfume, dimethyl phenyl butanol, menthol, niacinamide, matricaria recutita (chamomile) extract, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, melaluca alternifolia oil

I HAD A MAJOR BREAKOUT. I MEAN. AS IM TYPING THIS... UGH... :( HERE ARE PICS OF MYSELF... RATED SPG. hahahahaha!

excuse the face! :)

some minor bumps
THE ICKY BREAKOUTS!!!! >_<

Ugh! This is the first time I had a breakout by using products...Guess I learned my lesson. I figured that the culprit was the alcohol...Idk though.

Final thoughts:
Price: Yes
Effectability: for me, NO.
Would I repurchase?: NO. I couldn't even finish the bottle. It looks like I havent used it nga eh.

So disappointing.

Skincare Routine: Acne/Pimple Prone and Oily (How my skin got BETTER)

Disclaimers: my pimple looks way awful in real life than in pictures. Those pics are the only one that I think shows my bare face because I use makeup to cover it and in most pictures I have makeup on. Believe me, it was way, way worse.
--------

The start of my pimpleful face was way back in sixth grade. I still believe that it all started when I used this product and I think it triggered it. Since then, I've had pimples on my forehead, chin, sometimes on my nose, above my lips, and what I feared the most: my cheeks. Those years I thought that maybe it's just puberty slapping me, but no. It didn't stop. My parents say that having pimple prone skin is in the family so it's very terrible on my part.

But I thank God that I found these 3 holy grail skin care I just discovered last year. It works WONDERS. My friends and classmates even told me that I look blooming and clear.

So, here are the products.

First off is the Clean & Clear essentials foaming facial wash.
Its claims are: oil free & won't clog pores. Helps prevent pimples, oily shine, and blackheads.

This serves as my cleanser and it does a well, good damn job on it. Back then I tried many cleansers ranging from Ponds to Cetaphil but none of them worked.

I use this twice a day everyday. I think it costs around Php80. Good, right?

Next up is the Céleteque Dermoscience Acne Solutions Acne Clearing Facial Moisturizer Gel. Phew! That's some long name we got there. And yes, it's a gel type of mosturizer, which is recommended for oily skin types! It's also hypo-allergenic, non-comedogenic, oil-free, and fragrance-free.

This one was just recommended by my brother who use this regularly because it worked wonders on his skin. And it also did on mine. I noticed some improvements on my pimples because it just appears every once in a while, unlike back then where it will appear one after the other.

My only comment is that it "firms" up your skin when you apply this. In other words, it feels tight when you put this on. But it's alright to me :)

I don't really know how much this costs because my brother buys it and we just share (it's a squeeze type so it's alright, nothing unhygienic about it). But I think he said it's around Php200-300.

I apply this twice a day, everyday.

This is the much awaited product! The St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub. It claims that it deeply exfoliates to reveal smooth skin. It also claims that it has 100% natural exfoliants, hypoallergenic, sulfate free, and paraben free.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS. It's uhhmeizing (amazing). It really lives up to its claims, because when I use this, it leaves my skin REALLY smooth. It has a fruity smell, probably apricot? But I haven't seen any apricot nor tasted or smell in my entire life since I live in the PH. I always buy the travel size of this product so I can bring it anywhere. This has also natural exfoliants. Remember the bill that America wants to pass about microbeads? Well, fret no more because this has natural exfoliants. Meaning it won't do any damage on our eco system :)

This is around Php80 for the travel size, I don't really know the price of the regular size. I use this every tuesdays and thusdays at NIGHT then apply a moderate amount of the Céleteque moisturizer. Highly recommended!

And that's what I use for my skincare routine. Very easy, cheap, and minimal right? I hope this can help you girls/women out there who is suffering with the same skin problem as I have. Do keep in mind that I still get occasional pimples. But it did a GREAT job in improving my skin! I'm using this regimen for about 6 months already :)

INLOVE: Loreal Color Riche Star Matte Reds Collection Lipstick

I remember I first saw this product on a Cosmopolitan article and I was immediately head over heels with its color. I saved the picture of it and sent it my makeup amigas (yes, by God's grace I've met two beautiful girls in my school who are addicted to makeup like me). When they saw it, they were like, "Girl, bilin mo na! Ang ganda!" So I did.

I got this pic from the internet :)

It belongs to the wine color family. Some say it's a dupe for MAC Diva, but I think this is the "lighter" version of it. The MAC one has a dark undertone, kinda vampy color (similar to NYX's Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen). This lipstick's hue is kind of reddish violet, but the red is more overpowering.

Apologies for this picture...I will update this as soon as I get a new picture with this lippie on. But I hope you get my point!

What I like about this is that this is NOT drying for me... I mean, I always put lip balm on my lips before applying lipstick. It applies smoothly on your lips, unlike some matte lipsticks that I own (psst, Rubywoo.).

Loving it.

When some of the product wears off, I like that it leaves a "stain" on your lips.

*smooch* I love you!

Also, this is really cheap! I researched for its price and I discovered that when it was newly released, it was marked Php675 but then it marked down on Php400. But would you believe if I tell you that I only bought this for Php300? Please do, because I did! As I was readying my money, the salesgirl told me that it's Php300 nalang

Key Points: -solid color
                   -applies seamlessly
-leaves a "stain" when it wears off
-easily accessible at department stores (Loreal                        counters)
                   -VERY AFFORDABLE

Verdict: This lipstick is has a GREAT color payoff, EASILY ACCESSIBLE, and CHEAP. I would absolutely BUY ANOTHER when it runs out, considering its great quality and cheap price. A "good catch" indeed! :)

I hope this helps you in your next makeup conquest!

Mini Makeup Haul

'Tis the season! Advanced Merry Christmas!

Alrighty. So recently I went to the mall and I've bought some makeup/essentials. I only bought 3 items hence the title "mini makeup haul" :).

Firstly, I got this ChapStick in the normal variant. I've been meaning to buy my own lipbalm since I'm slaving off on my petroleum jelly. I saw this on the shelf and I immediately took a hold of it.

Second, I got this elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream. I actually have the powder variant of this product, but since I'm dying to try the cream contour fad, I decided to buy this and try it first. I've also seen this being used by a Youtube makeup guru and I really liked the outcome of her face when she used it.

Last but definitely not the least, the Loreal Color Riche Star Matte Reds in Pure Garnet. I've been LOVING this. I might make a post about this product alone. Please stay tuned :)

Aaand that's it folks. That's the end of my mini haul. Please stay tune for more of my posts!
